It's Sara here - not the Sara that comments on your pages regularly, but the other Sara - you know, from work!
Did I ever tell you my great idea for a book? It's about journalists who, after years of trying to be the first to report the news, end up creating crimes and other "news-worthy" events just so they can be the first ones to report them. I even had a catchy name... it escapes me at the moment, however.
Anyway, this is what I think of journalists saying that they're unbiased and are professional: "I fart in their general direction! Their mother is a hamster and their father smelt of elderberries."
I don't care who you are, there is no way that you can present a story without bias. You may not explicitly state your biases, but the way in which you present the story creates a bias on its own.
