Fantasy

I have a fantasy. Maybe it is a fantasy shared by many city slickers. I want out of the rat race. I want out of the "keeping up with the Jones" mentality. I crave freedom. I crave wide open spaces. I want to eat vegetables grown outside my back door. I want to eat fruit that I pick from a tree. I want to spend quality time with my children and to have the ability to tell them "go- run- play- be free!" I want a simpler life.

Do you think it's something in the water? Because I've been feeling the exact same way lately.

We found a great old estate in NY state for sale cheap (although it needed a lot of work) and I was THIS close to buying it and turning it into a bed and breakfast. Which means I must be desperate, to consider buying a house someplace where it's cold eight months out of the year.

I want that same thing. My mom has 80 acres in the middle of nowhere (outside of Tatum, New Mexico. See, I wasn't kidding!) I have thought about building a house there and moving. Either that or become Amish.

The good news is that you already have the candle, soap, wine, and beer making down.
